  • Interested in HVAC? A hands-on course offered at Eastern Maine Community College will introduce juniors and seniors to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems while exploring real-world skills and career pathways. The dates are July 6-17—click here to learn more.

  • Portland Youth Corps – Want to spend your summer outdoors while building leadership skills? Join the Portland Youth Corps! Kick things off with a 4-day Hurricane Island adventure, then work on a trail crew in Portland’s parks. Click here to learn more.

  • PAID Student Opportunity – Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training: MaineHealth Maine Medical Center is offering a free, 6-week CNA program with paid training ($18/hr + benefits), clinical experience, and certification. Click here to learn more.

  • Build your financial skills this summer with FAME (Finance Authority of Maine)! Join a FREE 5-day course (June 22–26) at Waynflete School covering budgeting, credit, investing, and more.   • The Union Construction Academy offers a four-week pre-apprenticeship program that prepares participants for careers in skilled trades such as carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and more. The program focuses on supporting people from underrepresented backgrounds and provides a pathway into paid apprenticeships with Maine’s building and construction trades unions, leading to well-paying jobs with strong benefits.

  • Boys to Men Fellowship Program: Be part of a cohort of Fellows who represent diverse and broad experiences of masculinity and who want to explore their identities and the role they can play in making their communities safer and stronger.

  • Student Opportunity for Rising Juniors: Maine Coast Semester: Interested in ecology, outdoor leadership, hands-on science, or coastal ecosystems? Consider this one-semester immersive program in Wiscasset featuring field-based classes, farm work, and wilderness trips.   • Pink Stickers: Work with your Advisors and Flex Friday coaches to add pink stickers about help spots around the state, nation, and Earth on the maps outside of Dr. Po’s office.

  • Renee Graffam '28 is leading a Maine Needs drive for household essentials as her Flex Friday project. The Advisory donating the most items wins a prize!
